Cutter Associates is looking to hire Senior Consultants who have 5 -10 years of direct experience in technology solutions and operations within an asset manager, within the investment division of other financial services companies and or at a wealth manager.

Cutter Associates supports investment management, wealth management and Public Fund & Pension firms through a powerful combination of three interrelated services: Consulting, Benchmarking, and Research. We have ongoing relationships with over 240 asset managers, asset owners and asset servicers in the US, EMEA and Australia. Cutter currently has offices in a suburb of Boston, in London and in Sydney.

A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • 5 - 10 years of experience in investment management operations and technology in one or more of the following areas:
    • front-office to back-office processes or systems
    • system selection and implementation with systems such as Eagle, SimCorp and Aladdin
    • data management, data warehousing, architecture, and reporting (Markit EDM preferable)
    • trade generation, order management, trade communications, settlements, and portfolio accounting
    • client facing; distribution, marketing, client service, consultant relations, product development and client reporting functions with systems such as Seismic, Vermillion and Couric
  • Experience working with leading Order Management Solution and/or investment accounting vendor packages.

Key responsibilities of the position include the following:

  • Successfully complete client projects though meeting client goals, timelines and budget requirements
  • Review client documentation and interview project participants to identify their issues and challenges
  • Define changes to organizational models, modify business processes and identify a target state architecture which will address the current state issues and pain points, meet the client's specific business and technology requirements and be consistent with preferred industry practices and models
  • Create a roadmap for the implementation of the future state
  • Perform vendor selection and searches for specific technology and data systems where appropriate
  • Implement data governance for Client, Account, and Product data domains; design business nomenclature, taxonomy, and business glossaries
  • Prepare clients for implementation of client facing technology (e.g. Workflow redesign, creation of user journeys, client website functionality, client service portal design)

We provide consulting services to the investment management industry, in the areas of enterprise data management, technology, and operational efficiency. Any candidates will ideally have worked as a consultant and/or contractor on software implementation engagements.
